Job Description
Q4 is looking for a Visual Systems Technician to work with visual rendering and image projection of flight simulators visual training environment. The visual display system solutions consist of multi-channel projectors, wide angle collimated and direct projection optical displays as used in modern flight simulators as well as the subsequent installation, alignment, tuning and testing of the visual systems in the Company’s plant and at the customer site. The position will also include the preparation and publishing of test procedures used to establish the performance of the delivered visual system with the customer.
The ideal candidate will have experience with projection technologies, optical systems, 3-Dimensional geometry and imaging/visualization principles. He or she will be a self-starter with the ability to resolve problems effectively and efficiently with strong oral and written communication skills
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience as a Simulator Maintenance Technician, CRT Projector and/or Fixed Matrixed Projector Repair and Calibration Technician preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of the setup and calibration of Visual Display Systems is a plus.
- Ability to travel.
- Candidate must be able to work in small confined spaces (simulator cockpits).
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and accompanying applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
