LaSalle Network has partnered with a Chicago based boutique agency in hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Print Media Buyer to join their dynamic team. This Print Media Buyer will be responsible for planning, negotiating, and purchasing print advertising space across various publications to meet their marketing objectives. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the print media landscape, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of optimizing media spend to maximize ROI.
Print Media Buyer Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic print media buying plans aligned with marketing goals and target audiences
- Identify and evaluate print media opportunities across newspapers, magazines, direct mail, and other print platforms
- Negotiate rates, terms, and placements with vendors to ensure cost-effective buys while maximizing exposure
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure print materials meet brand standards and campaign goals
- Monitor campaign performance, ensuring timely delivery and placement of print ads
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of print media campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for future buys
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging print platforms, and competitive media strategies
- Manage relationships with vendors, publishers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of media plans
- Track and manage budgets, invoices, and media schedules
Print Media Buyer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in print media buying, preferably in an agency or corporate setting
- Strong understanding of the print media landscape and advertising trends
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates and placements
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with media performance metrics and reporting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in media buying software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain vendor relationships
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in the healthcare space
- Familiarity with media planning tools and platforms
- Strong budget management and financial acumen
