Join Our Team as a Lead User Experience Designer! This is a hybrid position located in Plano, TX. Please note that relocation to Plano, TX is required if you are not currently in the Dallas, TX area. We are looking for an experienced Lead User Experience Designer to become an integral part of our team. As a design leader and creator, you'll undertake several key responsibilities: Strategy & Planning:

Collaborate with technology, product, and business teams to identify customer and business needs, translating them into intuitive and engaging digital experiences. Simplify complex concepts into understandable ideas that enhance product experiences. Contribute to portfolio prioritization, supporting the strategy and product roadmap for the team. Manage shifting priorities, providing clear direction and guidance on product prioritization and early product definition. Champion the customer perspective through human-centered design practices, including discovery, research, and user testing. Prioritize design-centered product enhancements grounded in thorough research and analysis. Collaborate with teams across multiple regions. Advocate for an experience-focused mindset. Discovering & Delivering:

Support early product definition by facilitating discovery sessions that uncover customer pain points and opportunities. Utilize design tools to effectively deliver concepts and enable team collaboration. Drive end-to-end product design through: Working with researchers to grasp customer needs and defining opportunities via usability studies and empathy research. Framing problems, deriving insights, and designing new methodologies to meet customer needs. Creating user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models, producing both low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes. Planning and leading workshops with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals. Designing within existing frameworks and developing new standards to enhance our internal design system and guidelines. Storytelling and presenting visual concepts to various stakeholders. Guiding the development of high-fidelity design assets for market delivery alongside product, design, business, and technology teams. Basic Qualifications:

At least 6 years of experience in user experience design. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in designing cross-channel experiences. Able to effectively collaborate with various business partners to achieve outcomes. Familiarity with design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch and/or Figma. Experience working with an established design system. Experience leading a cross-functional team. Important Note:

Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role, based in Plano, TX, are $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Design. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
