Job Description:
We are seeking a Front-End Engineer with expertise in Shopify development for a part-time, contract role. This position will focus on creating high-performance, visually designed online storefronts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a passion for problem-solving, and at least three years of experience working with Shopify Plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Shopify Expertise: Implement advanced Shopify features, including APIs, Apps, Functions, and Extensions, tailored to client needs
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to Shopify's best practices
- Collaboration: Partner with designers, marketers, and back-end developers to ensure seamless project execution
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues proactively to ensure optimal performance and user experience
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Shopify and front-end development trends to provide innovative solutions
- Experienced with Shopify Plus, including theme customization, Shopify Scripts, and Shopify Checkout
- Understanding of eCommerce best practices, including UX/UI design and conversion optimization
- Experience:
- 3+ years of front-end development with a strong focus on Shopify
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Knowledge of SEO and storefront performance optimization

- Site Reliability Engineering skills
- Software Development skills
- Networking and Databases knowledge
- Proficiency in Linux
- Experience in front-end and back-end development
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Relevant certifications or degrees in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Headless Commerce architectures
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and tools like Jira/Confluence
