Design Works Gaming is seeking a passionate and creative Jr. Game Designer to join our growing team! In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of engaging and next generation casino slots for both land based and igaming platforms. You will work closely with senior designers, engineers, product managers, and artists to bring exciting game concepts to life, while gaining valuable experience in the casino gaming industry.

Your Role and Impact: Assist senior game designers in the design and development of casino slot machine games, including: Brainstorming and conceptualizing game themes, mechanics, and features. Develop rapid prototypes or drawings of game concepts to test and refine gameplay mechanics. Creating and maintaining game design documentation Collaborating with artists and sound designers to ensure a cohesive and engaging player experience. Conduct review meetings with various departments in the company. Analyze competitor games to understand best practices and identify opportunities for innovation. Playtesting games and providing feedback, including: Working directly with game engineers to make adjustments to presentation. Identifying and reporting bugs and issues. Fine-tuning game features and math models. Ensuring the overall quality and presentation of the finished product. Learn and utilize internal tools and pipelines for game development and content management. Gain familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards within the casino gaming industry. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in the casino gaming space.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in the casino gaming or iGaming industry. Strong understanding of slot machine mechanics, mathematics, and player psychology. Experience with game design documentation and tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Passion for creating engaging and entertaining game experiences.
