The integration and cross-disciplinary nature of Mainspring’s business requires intentionally seeking out others who bring different skills, perspectives, and priorities. Responsibilities We are looking for a versatile Director of Marketing Communications to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of our company in a dynamic market environment. As a vital part of the Marketing team, and reporting directly to the VP of Marketing & Communications, your role will encompass a broad range of activities. As a Director of Marketing Communications, you will: Lead integrated marketing campaigns including content marketing, email, social media, digital marketing, advertising, SEO, SEM, events, etc. to increase brand awareness and generate sales leads across targeted market verticals. Develop and execute the company’s email marketing strategy to generate leads and nurture existing prospects through the sales funnel. Tap into market research to understand the market, develop customer personas and align/refine messaging for priority vertical markets. Own company messaging architecture and copywriting across various channels and target audiences. Write and produce compelling thought leadership, sales and marketing content to inspire audiences and to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services. Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. An advanced degree like an MS/MBA is preferred. At least 15 years of experience in marketing or communications, with a demonstrated track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies. Strong understanding of integrated marketing, digital marketing tools, and marketing analytics. Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create engaging marketing collateral. Experience in managing cross-functional projects and collaborating effectively with diverse teams. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. The Bay Area salary for this role is $157k-$185k base + pre-IPO stock options + benefits.
