We’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join our team and bring workplace visions to life. In this role, you’ll collaborate with sales, project managers, and clients to create functional, beautiful, and inspiring workspaces. From space planning to selecting finishes, your expertise will help businesses transform their environments with thoughtfully designed commercial furniture solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with experience in commercial interiors, contract furniture, and workplace strategy to work on impactful projects.
🎨 Design & Space Planning:
- Work closely with clients and sales teams to understand workplace needs.
- Develop space plans, renderings, and design concepts to present to clients.
- Prepare color and finish selections, digital presentations, and furniture specifications.
- Ensure plans align with ADA regulations, building codes, and workplace ergonomics.
- Create detailed installation drawings and verify accuracy against architectural plans.
🛋 Furniture & Specification Expertise:
- Specify contract furniture solutions that meet client needs and budget.
- Use AutoCAD, CET (Configura), and Spec (or CAP 2020) to create technical drawings.
- Double-check specifications and ensure accuracy before order entry.
đź“Š Project Coordination & Execution:
- Collaborate with sales and project management to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage design timelines, budgets, and project documentation.
- Conduct site visits, punch list reviews, and work alongside the installation team.
đź’ˇ Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of commercial interior design experience, ideally in contract furniture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (NCIDQ certification preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CET (Configura), and Project Spec (or CAP 2020).
- Strong knowledge of furniture systems, workplace ergonomics, and industry trends.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with clients.
🏆 Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working with Herman Miller, Knoll, or other contract furniture brands.
- Familiarity with building codes, ADA regulations, and space planning best practices.
