Job Description
We are looking for a VP Marketing and Communications to join our team in West Babylon, New York. As a VP Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for leading the vision and execution of a data-driven marketing and communications plan, managing department resources, ensuring cohesive brand identity across all platforms, and using data to evaluate and adjust marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
• Lead the creation and execution of an overarching marketing and communications plan based on data analysis
• Manage department resources with a focus on enhancing membership recruitment, revenue opportunities, advocacy, and collaboration
• Supervise the development of cohesive messaging and brand identity across all media and communication platforms
• Utilize both quantitative and qualitative data to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as necessary
• Make necessary changes to improve marketing and communication processes and workflows
• Serve as an advisor to Association leadership on communication matters and oversee the preparation of executive communications
• Lead crisis management planning and establish crisis communication policies
• Collaborate with different stakeholders to elevate the Association's reputation through strategic communication and marketing campaigns
• Develop relationships with chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, and associations to tell the Association's story
• Assess current marketing and branding efforts and ensure the implementation of effective branding and digital marketing strategies
• Develop strategies to engage and connect with underrepresented communities to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion.• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, Master’s degree preferred.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior marketing role.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective marketing and communication strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using various marketing software and digital marketing tools.
• Ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Proven track record of success in driving growth through strategic marketing.
• Extensive knowledge of current and emerging marketing trends.
• Exceptional understanding of the market and competitive landscape.
• Strong budget management skills.
• Proficiency in public speaking and presentations.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
