Job Description
Crown seeks a Technical Writer to support our contract team, Frequentis. Frequentis is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways).
This position will be a six (6) month position that may be extended based upon the contract. The position will be located on site in Columbia, MD. It is expected that some percentage of work time may be performed from home but not guaranteed.
Responsibilities
- Performing research and writing professional documents, including program reports and procedures, documentation, and training materials.
- Reading and analyzing technical materials and creating presentations of that information. This may be specifications, drawings, user manuals, presentations, reports, or training documents.
- Performing analyses and compiling diverse policy, technical, statistical, demographic, and financial information.
- Interacting with the program’s management and technical staff and be capable of distilling and conveying complex technical information in contractual deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required
- NASA & FAA experience is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing is required
- Must be a U.S. Person
