We are seeking an experienced UI Artist to join our Wearables team. As a UI Artist, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, illustrating visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces for our wearable devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and product management, to bring our wearable products to life.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop high-quality polished designs across wearable devices.
  2. Collaborate with designers and other artists on interaction patterns.
  3. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure design consistency and feasibility.
  4. Develop and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices for wearable UI design.
  5. Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate and test UI design concepts.
  6. Work closely with the engineering team to ensure design implementation meets design intent.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and design patterns for wearable devices.
  8. Participate in critiques and feedback sessions to continuously improve quality.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of experience in UI design, preferably with a focus on wearable devices or mobile applications.
  2. Portfolio showcasing your UI design work, including experience with wearable devices or mobile applications.
  3. Experience with design systems and design languages.
  4. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Maya or equivalent design tools.
  5. Proven visual design skills, with a strong understanding of color theory, typography, and composition.
  6. Proven collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
  7. Proven communication skills with the ability to articulate opinions while remaining open to feedback and alternative perspectives.
  8. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines.

Compensation

$126,000/year to $175,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or sales incentives, if applicable.
