What would you do?

The Minnesota Lynx is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Producer to join our team. This role combines on-camera personality with behind-the-scenes expertise to bring the Lynx brand to life across all digital platforms. On-Camera

  • Serve as a recognizable, authentic personality for Lynx social media platforms, engaging fans through interviews, live streams, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Host digital content series, game-day coverage, and other features that enhance fan engagement.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, showcasing the team's culture, players, and community efforts.
  • Create, edit, and produce compelling content for various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube).
  • Collaborate with the marketing, creative, PR and game presentation teams to develop a content calendar that aligns with the Lynx brand and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on trends and analytics to maximize reach, engagement, and growth across platforms.
  • Capture and curate video/photo content during games, practices, and community events.
  • Ensure all content maintains brand voice and aligns with organizational goals.
  • Represent the organization on game days, enhancing relationship-building opportunities with clients and potential partners through engaging interactions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other:

  • 1-3 years of experience in social media production, content creation, or related fields.
  • Comfortable and confident on camera with the ability to connect with audiences authentically.
  • Proficient in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or equivalent) and design tools like Photoshop and Cap Cut.
  • Knowledge of social media trends, platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong storytelling skills and creativity.
  • A passion for basketball and the WNBA is a plus!

Additional information:

Experience: Minimum two years of social media producing experience strongly preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Knowledge of the professional sports industry, as well as experience working in professional, minor league, or college sports is preferred.

Salary: The base salary range for this exempt role is $62,000-70,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.

Benefits: Regular full-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, health saving accounts with an employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, and life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance. Additional benefits may include employer-paid short/long-term disability plans, generous fitness and well-being benefits, work-related reimbursements, and fully paid family/caregiver leave. Regular full-time employees start with 11 Holidays, at least 20 paid PTO days, 2 Volunteer days, and 4 Personal Holidays in each calendar year.

Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff occasionally move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.

Travel: Select Lynx road games, league sanctioned events and external events on an as-needed basis.
