Overview:

We are looking to expand our client's team by adding a digitally focused Senior Media Buyer / Planner who will play a key role in driving the success of their paid digital media campaigns.

This individual will be responsible for developing and executing digital strategies across various channels, including PPC, paid social media, programmatic display, and video. They will also be accountable for planning, buying, trafficking, and managing campaigns end-to-end, ensuring the successful execution and optimization of digital media efforts to meet client objectives.

The ideal candidate is highly experienced in digital media, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends, creating innovative campaigns, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize performance.

Schedule: Hybrid

Type: Contract to Hire, estimated at 90 days

Pay: $45 - $50/hr, paid weekly, benefits eligible while on the contract phase

Media Buyer / Planner Duties:

  • Digital Media Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of digital media strategies across PPC, paid social, programmatic display, and video. Integrate and align these strategies to meet client objectives and deliver on key performance metrics.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Manage all aspects of campaign planning, from initial setup to trafficking and reporting. Ensure campaigns are set up correctly, deliver as expected, and meet deadlines.
  • Optimization & Performance Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze campaign performance to identify opportunities for optimization. Use data insights to recommend adjustments that drive improved results and ROI.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with the digital team to synchronize paid and organic efforts. Provide regular performance reports, analyze data, and deliver insights to both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Client & Partner Relations: Manage relationships with external digital media partners and vendors, ensuring the successful execution of campaigns. Coordinate with the creative team to manage assets and implement ad rotations.
  • Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: Perform thorough QA on campaign setup before launch, including troubleshooting any technical issues and ensuring smooth execution. Conduct kick-off calls with partners to address and resolve potential challenges.
  • Innovation & Industry Trends: Stay on top of emerging trends in digital media, tools, and technologies. Bring innovative thinking to campaigns, evolving them seasonally and integrating new practices as necessary.
  • Brand Safety & Fraud Mitigation: Ensure campaigns adhere to brand safety guidelines and implement fraud mitigation and viewability measures using tools like MOAT and IAS/DoubleVerify.

Media Buyer / Planner Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in digital media strategy, planning, and buying, with a proven track record of success across paid search, social media, and programmatic platforms.
  • Platform Expertise: Proficient in Google Ads setup, including Search, DV360, and Pmax. Familiarity with Google Campaign Manager and expertise in preparing campaign tags and floodlight pixels.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and proficiency in using Looker Studio to design and implement dashboards.
  • Social Media Proficiency: Deep understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and their advertising tools.
  • Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: Strong ability to perform detailed QA, troubleshoot issues, and ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly across all platforms and devices.
  • Tool Competency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting and client presentations.
  • Analytical & Strategic: Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented. Capable of developing strategic media plans while tracking and optimizing campaign performance.
  • Proactive & Innovative: A self-starter with a passion for new technology, a forward-thinking approach to campaign development, and a commitment to staying ahead of digital trends.
