This is a full-time, 6-month contract, hybrid 4 days onsite in Cottage Grove, MN with possibility of extension or hire for the right talent.
THE ROLE
Production and Asset Creation
- Execute high-volume production tasks, including resizing, retouching, formatting, and versioning designs for various platforms.
- Ensure all assets meet technical specifications, including color correction, image resolution, and print production standards.
- Adapt creative concepts into production-ready files for packaging, marketing materials, web graphics, social media, and email templates.
- Perform high-quality retouching and color correction on digital images.
Quality Control and Accuracy
- Conduct thorough file reviews to ensure consistency with brand guidelines, project requirements, and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues such as file formatting errors, print irregularities, and digital rendering challenges.
- Collaborate with vendors and printers to verify proofs and address technical discrepancies.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Partner with designers, copywriters, and project managers to align creative vision with production deliverables.
- Mentor junior production artists, ensuring technical precision and consistent output.
- Assist in developing workflows and templates to streamline production processes.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a production artist in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of production techniques for both digital and print formats, including typography, layout design, and prepress standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project management tools such as Workzone, Wrike, Asana, or Trello.
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or web design principles is a plus.
Soft Skills:

- Strong communication skills for team collaboration and clear idea presentation.
