Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement the overall design and merchandising strategy for the company Lead and inspire the domestic and overseas design and merchandising teams to achieve creative and business objectives. Collaborate with executive leadership to align design and merchandising strategies with the company’s overall goals and vision. Manage costs for design and merchandising projects. Design Oversight: Oversee the entire design process, both with the domestic and overseas teams, from concept development to final product approval. Ensure that all designs align with the brand’s aesthetic, target market, and quality standards. Foster innovation and creativity within the design team to develop unique and trendsetting jewelry collections and packaging. Review and approve design sketches, CAD models, and prototypes. Merchandising Strategy: Develop and execute merchandising plans to optimize product assortment, pricing, and placement. Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and sales data to inform merchandising decisions. Product Development: Oversee the product development process, ensuring that designs are translated into high-quality, manufacturable products. Work closely with sourcing to manage timelines, costs, and quality control. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales and production, to ensure cohesive product development. Partner with the production team to ensure that designs are feasible and can be manufactured within budget and quality standards. Trend Analysis and Research ·
Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities ·
Use insights from market research to inform design decisions and keep the brand at the forefront of the costume jewelry market. Brand Development: Develop and maintain the brand’s visual identity across all jewelry collections. Create guidelines for the brand’s visual elements, ensuring consistency across all platforms and products. Drive innovation in design to enhance the brand's market position and appeal.
This position will be for consideration at our locations in Secaucus, N.J. or Cranston R.I. however the right candidate will be required to travel to either location at least 2 to 3 times per month.
