Kimball International is looking for someone to be the lead developer for our public facing websites built on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C platform (formerly known as Demandware). Our websites are a critical piece in our customer-focused digital strategy and this role will have direct influence and responsibility in the delivery of the solution. While primarily focused on coding and code reviews, developers who seek autonomy will find opportunities to influence architectural decisions as they collaborate closely with their team. Responsibilities:
Develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C (formerly known as Demandware) application. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, business analysts, and project managers to determine technical design that will achieve desired business outcomes. Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code that adheres to company standards and industry best practices. Conduct thoughtful and constructive code reviews. Suggest and implement improvements to projects, current architecture, and internal processes. Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to support ongoing operations. Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C features and functionalities. Partner with internal team members and outside resources to evaluate technology options, offering feedback and guidance. Ensure adherence to Kimball International's information management policies and procedures on information security, business resumption, and lifecycle management. For candidates, not local and outside of a commutable distance, this position may be fully remote and will require to be onsite at our Jasper, IN headquarters at least one week per quarter.
For candidates that are local or within a commutable distance, a hybrid work location arrangement will be considered with Mondays and Fridays remote and Tuesdays through Thursdays in office at our Jasper, IN headquarters.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience as a Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C Developer, with a strong track record of successful projects. Expertise in server-side JavaScript (specifically Node.js) and RESTful web services. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, API integration, and other relevant web technologies. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. Familiarity with modern deployment environments and architecture standards to deliver performant, scalable solutions. Proven experience with good DevOps practices and tools, specifically Azure DevOps Experience with Digital Asset Management Systems, specifically Cloudinary Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive attitude toward quickly solving problems and suggesting improvements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with stakeholders at all levels. A reliable, self-motivated approach to remote work, with the ability to acquire new skills independently through written materials and courses. Demonstrated leadership skill in the areas of technical mentorship, proactive solution proposal and accountability.
