Miami-Dade Seaport Department is hiring: Stenographic Reporter (Sheriff's Office

High school diploma or GED. One years of advance court reporting experience and at least one of the following diplomas or certificates from the National Court Reporters Association are required. Registered Skilled Reporter, Registered Professional Reporter, Registered Merit Reporter, Registered Diplomate Reporter, or Certified Realtime Reporter. Must take and pass a typing skills test with a score of 40 words per minute. Photo identification is required to take the typing skills test. Must take and pass a steno skills test, administered by the Miami-Dade Police Department, with a score of 180 words per minute.
