The Boston Red Sox Marketing Department is focused on supporting ticket sales and organizational initiatives through digital advertising, email marketing, promotions, and social media channels for the organization. We showcase both on-field and off-the-field products including player marketing, online game coverage, broadcast support, and outbound ticket sales messaging, all to encourage fan growth.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Social Media Coordinator will be an integral member of the corporate marketing team responsible for the day-to-day publishing of the organization’s social media channels across Meta, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube and more. This role is expected to facilitate gameday coverage throughout a majority of the season and collaborate across departments at the club level as well as Major League Baseball. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support and execute day-to-day social media coverage of the team, posting across all Red Sox and Fenway Park social platforms. Provide real-time social coverage of Red Sox games and relevant Fenway events. Cultivate and enhance the “voice” of the Red Sox online via excellent copywriting and fan engagement. Oversee social and digital fan engagement initiatives including customer service support via Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Execute partner content including sponsored series and posts across all owned channels. Collaborate with the marketing department and creative services to develop social media strategy and campaigns for each season. Liaise with creative services and video productions to create engaging content for relevant social media channels. Manage reporting and tracking including use of Sprinklr and tagging tools. CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Obtains a thorough understanding of all major social platforms and trends including TikTok, Meta, X, Snapchat, and YouTube, including extensive knowledge of online trends and culture. Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment. Experience handling business or commercial social media accounts, sports experience preferred. Experience and knowledge of social analytics and publishing tools including Sprinklr, Hootsuite, and Meta Business suite a plus. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
