Key Responsibilities: Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Sr. Marketing Director-Innovation to support the Tropicana Brand Group's goals and initiatives in outpacing the beverage marketplace in topline and bottom-line growth. This role has responsibility for the successful development, implementation, and commercialization of innovation for the entire company. This will include creating a long-term vision for growth through innovation, plus primary commercialization for developing new product solutions to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Additional Responsibilities Include:
The Senior Director of Innovation is responsible for leading the team of innovation marketers commercializing new products in the market, leveraging the Tropicana Brands Group Operating Model from the Idea phase to Launch and Learn. Currently this team consists of 2 experienced brand managers and 1 experienced senior manager. The Senior Director leads cross-functional teams by providing operational solutions that can be commercialized on a full-scale line while meeting cost and margin objectives. Prioritize brands and projects in line with our corporate strategy. Ensure innovation pipeline is sufficient to meet our long-term growth goals. Set annual innovation revenue and margin goals, and track progress against them, making adjustments as necessary. Partner with Governance team to ensure Stagegate process is effective and projects are approved in a timely manner. Partner with Marketing Strategy on agenda each month for PMR (portfolio review) meeting as part of IBP process. Creative 3-year innovation pipeline supporting the AOP agenda and overall financial algorithm. Drive insights through deep consumer and market insights leading to concept development and successful sell-in. Strong project management, financial analysis, communication, and collaboration skills. Work jointly with R&D, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and our producing locations to source, justify, scope, scale up and commercialize new products. Develop relationships and communicate effectively with cross-functional business partners/leadership. Professional Experience / Qualifications:
12-15 years' CPG Marketing experience, with significant innovation project experience. Experience leading teams of people. Undergraduate Degree, MBA preferred but not required. Proven track record of innovation pipeline development with strong in-market success. Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, organizational, and analytical skills to gain alignment across multiple stakeholders. Ability to drive strong storytelling through both in-person as well as written for leadership sell-in and updates. Exceptional project management/execution skills to meet aggressive deliverables. Strong analytical and financial management skills (P&Ls, margin analysis, Comms). Working directly with sales on customer collaboration of pipeline development, as well as sell-in to direct buyers and buying network.
