The Senior Content Creator brings their creative voice to the strategic vision and execution of CCV’s visual communications, social media, and digital marketing efforts. The SCC is a critical member of the marketing and communications team, is an innovative and creative thinker, is in-the-know regarding trends on social platforms, and can quickly conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality content, using a variety of platforms. The SCC serves as the College’s primary photographer.

Essential Functions:

  • Create and develop marketing and communications content across a variety of formats, including but not limited to video, photography, social media, animation, graphic design, audio clips, and infographics.
  • Actively assist in concept mapping and storyboards that align with CCV brand identity and project objectives.
  • Provide support in development of CCV’s digital strategy and social media content plan. Promote CCV brand awareness and plan and execute engaging marketing materials on a variety of platforms.
  • Work across departments to understand project scope and objectives. Actively contribute to the brainstorm and content development process.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to design a wide variety of marketing & communications pieces.
  • Design and adapt dynamic and engaging digital visuals for websites, social media channels, infographics, newsletters, and events material in the form of video, gifs, and animations. Source relevant & current cool content to share (photos, memes/gifs, on-brand reposts).
  • Independently develop creative, fun, and engaging video concepts, as well as edit videos suited to targeted audiences. Produce on-trend content while adhering to key messages.
  • Participate actively in the idea generation process for advertising, registration, and department-specific marketing campaigns.
  • Craft short-form social videos, memes, GIFs, and dynamic media assets to grow social media audiences with a focus on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor CCV’s social media and serve as primary owner of CCV’s TikTok account, post content and monitor performance.
  • Maintain the College’s brand assets & content library. Monitor and manage the consistent use of the CCV logo across the College.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with junior members of the M&C team.
  • Photograph events, people, and additional subjects for editorial and marketing purposes.
  • Serve as photo editor for all print and digital publications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Supervision Received: Reports to the Director of Marketing Operations

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field plus at least three (3) years relevant experience (or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with computer applications including Mac OsX, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Premier Pro, Animate, Acrobat Pro), Microsoft Office.
  • In-depth understanding and proficiency of video content creation, as well as supporting apps such as TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat.
  • Able to strategically and quickly shoot, create, and edit video and photo content to tell compelling and engaging stories for CCV.
  • Extensive knowledge of photographic principles including off-camera lighting, composition, and posing subjects; keen eye for stunning, impactful visual assets.
  • Creative and open-minded team player with strong initiative and a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute creatively and deliver projects on a deadline.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, editing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are critical.

Physical Requirements: Duties performed cause light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties as a result of repetitive motion and/or long periods of standing or sitting. Duties require little physical effort in work with light to moderate (up to 25lbs) easy-to-handle materials.

Working Conditions: Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with many and frequent distractions such as noise and interruptions. Work schedule may vary during high volume periods.
