DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

hereafter referred to as Candidate(s) who meets the general qualifications of
Data Analyst/Report Writer 3 Data/Database Administration
and the specifications outlined in this document for the
Texas Education Agency .
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered works made for hire and are the property of the
Texas Education Agency
and may include preselection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.
Texas Education Agency
will pay no fees for interviews or discussions which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
Currently TEA is a CAPPS HUB Agency. The goal of this position (which will be in the Finance division) is to review and assist with the development of additional queries for the Financial Staff to ensure their ability to retrieve meaningful information from the CAPPS System.
This will will include working with crossdivisional executives directors and other stakeholders as directed by the CFO to review TCAPPS business system configuration which will include but is not limited to:
Lead the All Activity Query Development
Design Test and Build Queries to assist with business process improvement.
Coordinate the necessary development of additional reports and/or queries as needed.
Assist with reengineering or develop processes necessary for efficient use of the CAPPS Financial system.
Working with business customers to gather requirements for the system and/or process improvements and report development.
Prepare detailed documentation in support of any of the activities listed above as requested by management.
Complete full range of testing as needed.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the
minimum
stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 10 Required Experience with CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reingineering best practices 10 Required Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement 10 Required Experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms 10 Required Experience with ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft in Texas 10 Required Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products 10 Required Ability to communicate verbally and in writing 10 Required CAPPS GL Commitment Control PurchasingEProcurement APCash Receipts Inv Assets and Grants 10 Required Query and Reporting Development with CAPPS 5 Required Experience with the AllActivity Query Logic in CAPPS
III. TERMS OF SERVICE
Services are expected to start
02/17/2025
and are expected to complete by
08/31/2025 . Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed
400
hours. This service may be amended renewed and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the
Texas Education Agency . Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
