Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adjunct Instructor (face-to-face, online, dual enrollment) – Art (appreciation/history and studio art) located in the Division of Liberal Arts. This is a part-time position and is open for recruitment.


REPORTS TO:
Fine Arts and Communication Department Chair


LOCATIONS:
Mid-City campus, Frazier site, and/or online


COMPENSATION:
Salary: $2,295 per 3-hour credit course taught


Estimated Hours per Week: Fall/Spring/Summer


Dates/Times: Day, night and weekend classes; various times available

Minimum Qualifications


Required Education:

  1. Studio Art – Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) or master’s degree in studio art, or any master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in studio art.
  2. Art Appreciation/History – Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) or master’s degree in art or art history, or any master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in art or art history.

Adjunct Faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned. Adjunct Faculty may teach in the evening, weekends, online and dual enrollment courses as needed. Adjunct Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Adjunct Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline. Adjunct Faculty report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within their respective departments and divisions.
