Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati, Department of Athletics is seeking candidates for a Broadcast Director (Broadcast Coordinator). This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Reporting to the Executive Producer, the Broadcast Director will coordinate, direct, and participate in creative development and execution of all live-game, video board shows, and in-venue production for the University of Cincinnati, ESPN, and Big 12 Now Plus.

Essential Functions

  • Direct and/or produce live sports programs and special in-venue events including coordinating the control room staff, students and freelance contractors.
  • Collaborate with network for proper guidelines on show implementation.
  • Collaborate with the in-house production team to build out all shows and studios for the network.
  • Consult with the production team to improve the overall quality of the show.
  • Assist in creating storylines for production and support staff in idea execution.
  • Assist in teaching and training student employees on the basics of broadcast television.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members before, during, and after productions.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Related experience in a live or studio production environment.

Additional Qualifications Considered

The position requires evening and weekend hours.
