We are seeking a creative and results-driven Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage target audiences, and support business objectives. You will manage content creation, digital marketing campaigns, public relations efforts, and internal communications while analyzing performance metrics to optimize strategies. This position requires strong project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure cohesive messaging and impactful results.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Assists in gathering market research including an annual competitive review of websites, social media, campaign management, and online/print advertising to assist in the creation of marketing strategy planning.
- Reviews and recommends short and long-term strategic objectives and/or goals related to internal and external communications.
- Assists in overseeing complex marketing projects from start to finish, including product launches.
- Assists in creating, developing, designing, and communicating all marketing materials such as advertising documents, brochures, flyers, booklets, internal documentation, and others.
- Helps build, maintain, and strengthen elements of communication, identifying gaps or changes as necessary.
- Assists in proofing/copyediting all marketing materials, websites, social media posts, and other publications in accordance with corporate style guides.
- Works with cross-functional teams to implement and track marketing campaigns.
- Helps maintain, monitor, and promote the Savant Group (and its companies) on all social media pages and/or platforms (i.e., increases awareness, maintains distribution, promotes recruiting, events, or other activities).
- Helps monitor Savant Group websites and ecommerce; works in tandem with other marketing associates to make necessary changes when needed.
- Assists in the collection of analytics (i.e., media, websites, social media) and provides insight on the effectiveness of tactics and other key metrics as necessary.
- Facilitates, prepares, coordinates, and helps plan training events for both domestic and international customers and/or distributors when necessary. Assists with coordination of attendance, creating presentations/topics, shipping inventory, reviewing budget, or other factors.
MARGINAL JOB DUTIES
- Acts as the company’s photographer for new employees, products, instruments, or other company events as necessary. Maintains maintenance for all photography equipment and maintains stock photo database.
- Care and maintenance of all photography and lighting equipment. Collect and maintain a database of internal instrument stock images. Knowledge and experience with photo editing software programs (preferably Photoshop) to enhance images.
- Helps collect analytics (i.e., media, websites, social media) and insights on the effectiveness of tactics and other key metrics as necessary.
- Works closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate and plan customer visits and/or training events.
- Assists in collaborating and developing strategic objectives or goals with the sales director annually or as needed.
- Helps gather and maintain feedback received from training events, provides recommendations, and implements changes as necessary.
- Helps with research and with the registration of the Savant Group for relevant trade shows that align with the business’ objectives as necessary.
- Works with third-party companies on marketing projects or company goals as needed.
- Other administrative and sales support duties as requested.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
LICENSURE: Valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE: At least three years’ experience in marketing and communications required. Similar industry experience preferred.

- Maintains various relationships with external stakeholders including media personnel, promotional teams, tradeshow organizers, subject experts, and customers.
- Familiarity with the fundamental principles, strategies, and methodologies associated with public relations, marketing, and communications.
- Uses logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, evaluate situations, and prepares research to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches.
- Strong ability to effectively and efficiently use all Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher. Other software may include Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Google Analytics configuration, reporting, campaign building, and SEO best practices preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to use photo editing software such as Photoshop.
- Ability to work independently or as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work through last-minute changes as necessary.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the company to finish projects and/or achieve specific goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal, domestic, and global contacts.
- Strong attention to detail with strong proofreading skills.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions and problem solve issues that arise with little or no supervision.
- Ability to research communication and technological trends and apply best practices to all projects.
- Confident public speaking and presentation skills.
- Possess a self-starter and can-do attitude. Ability to take the initiative without being told what to do in every situation.
PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Must be able to move/lift equipment weighing up to 50lbs. Other physical efforts may include but not limited to carrying weight, lifting, seeing, hearing, talking, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion/dexterity, and other physical requirements as required by the position.
SAFETY MEASURES: All employees are expected to follow safety procedures and regulations at all times.
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift. Some nights and weekends may be required. In-office role, remote not available.
TRAVEL: Travel up to 10% may be required, domestic and international.
