We are looking for a Digital Content Manager who will join our team.

In search of a strong creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for storytelling, this individual will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing high-quality SEO-friendly content that drives engagement, builds brand awareness, and supports our business objectives on owned and Retailer websites. Must be able to successfully lead the entire process encompassing strategic planning, content calendars, content creation through to execution with all key cross-functional partners. Must have an understanding of digital marketing, SEO and UX, with experience in digital merchandising, and the ability to translate data-driven insights into clear and actionable content plans and creative.

In this role you will:

  • Play a pivotal role in crafting and executing a comprehensive digital content strategy across various digital channels (owned & Retailer sites for product & landing pages, blogs, articles, apps, email, etc.) with key cross-functional partners like eCommerce, Digital, IT, Research, and Analytics.
  • Lead teams to create, curate, and manage high-quality content that drives engagement, builds brand awareness, and supports business objectives with internal and external partners, ensuring content is tailored to specific platforms and audiences.
  • Possess a deep understanding of SEO & UX best practices and tools to support content optimization for search engines to improve organic reach.
  • Work proficiently in project management software and content management systems including PIM, DAM & CMS to manage and deploy content effectively.
  • Lead a team of direct reports to successfully deliver on commitments, supporting teams with professional development.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7 – 10+ years of experience managing creative and/or production design work with agency relationships and/or internal creative teams.
  • Experience managing SEO copywriting, editing, proofreading, and/or blogging with a portfolio showcasing diverse content types.
  • Experience with digital merchandising and UX design.
  • Account or project management experience in a relevant industry.
  • Demonstrated copywriting and/or editing skills with the ability to develop and adapt tone of voice for various target audiences.
  • Experience managing direct reports and driving professional development.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) is required.
  • Experience working in project management software, proofing, and digital asset management tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • High attention to detail, decision-making, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Results-focused with the ability to lead a team amidst competing priorities and manage resources effectively.
  • Excellent proofreading & editing skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
  • Experience with PIM, DAM & CMS platforms and a solid understanding of digital files.
  • Experience with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $108,300.00 - $127,400.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. In addition to the determined base salary, this role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs.
