Job Duties
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive hourly opportunity to serve as a Training Content Developer. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency’s Chief of Staff Office.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design and develop engaging, high-quality training materials to support the professional development needs of the DMAS workforce.
- Create materials in various formats, including e-learning modules, videos, manuals, and presentations.
This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
The position you are applying for is an Hourly/Wage position. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than an average of 29 hours a week and cannot exceed 1500 hours during their employment year. This position does not include health insurance, retirement, or leave.
Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in training and content development.
- Experience with basic graphic design knowledge and instructional design frameworks.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Experience with project coordination and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with basic content development systems in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic file organization.
- Experience with interpretation and application of federal, state laws/regulations.
- Experience in meeting deadlines.
- Experience with internal/external stakeholders.
- Experience writing and editing skills with attention to clarity and detail and ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
Additional Considerations
Competitive candidates should meet these additional considerations:
- Experience in instructional design or related field.
- Experience creating e-learning materials using tools such as Adobe Captivate or similar platforms.
