Boeing Global Services is looking for an Instructional Systems Designer who will lead the design of technical learning solutions to meet customer and stakeholder objectives. Leads research and analysis of learning objectives and customer needs. Designs and provides recommendations to stakeholders on course structure, content, and methodologies. Leads design review process with stakeholders. Supports the development of training content to meet learning objectives. Leads evaluation of technical training effectiveness and customer feedback. Develops and leads assessment of new instructional strategies, methods, technologies, and tools related to instructional design, development, and delivery. Performs project oversight activities and stakeholder management. Provides mentorship and development to instructional systems designers and content developers.

This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Renton, WA location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Designs technical learning solutions to meet customer and stakeholder objectives.
  2. Researches and analyzes learning objectives and customer needs.
  3. Designs and provides recommendations to stakeholders on course structure, content, and methodologies.
  4. Completes design review process with stakeholders.
  5. Supports development of training content to meet training objectives.
  6. Evaluates technical training effectiveness and customer feedback.
  7. Supports developing and accessing new instructional strategies, methods, technologies, and tools related to instructional design, development, and delivery.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education, Learning Design Technology, Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
  2. Knowledgeable on Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
  3. Foundational understanding of Adobe Captivate or similar programs.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  1. Experience working in a technical and software environment.
  2. Experience with Competency Based Training and Assessment or Evidence Based Training.
  3. Experience in aviation.
  4. Minimum of 3 years developing e-learning.
  5. Be able to develop training for a global audience.
  6. Experience with Learning Management Systems.
  7. Problem solve a variety of situations and environments, technical and physical.

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD + 4 years' related work experience, Master + 7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: 107950 – 146050.
