Swank Motion Pictures is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Copywriter and Editor to join our dynamic marketing, design, and production team. Reporting to the Senior Copywriter and Content Manager, this role will focus on creating compelling, customer-focused content that aligns with market and product messaging strategies. The Copywriter and Editor will leverage customer insights to craft impactful copy and ensure consistency in tone and positioning across multiple channels and markets.
Responsibilities
Content Creation:
- Develop clear, engaging copy for various platforms, including website content, social media posts, email campaigns, product descriptions, print materials, and more.
- Ensure all content reflects customer insights and aligns with market-specific messaging and positioning.
- Review and refine content to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the brand voice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to edit and enhance content produced by others.
- Use market research and customer feedback to inform content strategies and tailor messaging to specific audiences.
- Collaborate with the Senior Copywriter and marketing team to identify opportunities for content optimization based on customer needs and behaviors.
- Work closely with the Senior Copywriter and Content Manager to execute content strategies and maintain the editorial calendar.
- Partner with designers and marketers to ensure cohesive and visually compelling storytelling across all platforms.
- Assist in optimizing content for SEO and digital platforms to increase visibility and engagement.
- Monitor content performance and provide recommendations for improvement based on data insights.
- 2+ years of experience in copywriting, editing, or a related role, preferably in a corporate or agency environment.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of content styles and formats.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in brand voice and tone.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles and content management systems (CMS).
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leveraging customer insights to inform messaging strategies is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Reports to the Marketing Director. Works closely with all members of the marketing, design, and production team. Regularly interfaces with various sales departments to achieve objectives.
