RE Tech is seeking a Technical Writer who can develop and edit content for internal and client deliverables, communicate across project teams to ensure consistent and timely delivery of materials, and work closely with the Project Manager. The Technical Writer will create internal and external RE Tech collateral for social media, email, website, and print formats to help promote the company and our expert knowledge in the field of sustainability. This position requires the ability to coordinate the creation of multiple reports simultaneously, balancing internal and external resources, workloads, and timelines.
Essential Job Functions / Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare written text for internal and client materials, such as CSR/CR/ESG corporate reports, brochures, and ESG communications.
- Provide suggestions on themes for client work products.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate representation of themes and adherence to client branding standards.
- Participate in client calls to gather information needed for deliverables.
- Conduct research and due diligence on subjects, industries, companies, or technologies.
- Create and curate RE Tech collateral including social media posts, email communications, and printed materials.
- Copyedit content prior to delivery to clients.
- Maintain and ensure execution of project schedules including delivery dates and production timelines.
- Conduct research and interviews on behalf of clients for reports and other collateral.
- Ensure quality control of written material and provide editorial assistance to others.
- Track time worked and expenses accurately.
- Know and follow company policies and processes.
- Perform all other duties as needed and assigned.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of subject, target audiences, and appropriate use of language and tone.
- Ability to create innovative content ideas.
- Possess a growth mindset seeking continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate internally and externally to co-create successful outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail in work produced by self and others.
- Possess sound business ethics, including protection of confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities.
- Experience using project management systems like Asana.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with online collaboration and file sharing tools.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a marketing and communications role.
- Experience in consulting and sustainability-related fields is preferred.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience drafting CSR/CR/ESG corporate reports.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks such as TCFD, SASB, GRI, and UN SDGs.
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to review spreadsheets or data visualizations for trends.
