Proven experience in graphic design across a wide variety of print and electronic media, and mastery of related software applications and techniques, is essential for this position, as is the ability to present and defend your work to clients, stakeholders, and peers.
The Graphic Designer will report to GCM Studio's Creative Director but will also collaborate and communicate frequently with colleagues among the broader GCM organization, as well as with clients and stakeholders across different business units.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
- Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
- Establish creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
- Work with a wide range of media using specialized graphic design software
- Communicate with senior team members to receive and implement feedback
- Liaise with project managers to ensure deadlines are met
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools, including generative AI tools
- Review final productions for errors and ensure that final work reflects client specifications
- Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various media types
- Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape, and market trends
- Prepare images to coincide with social and blog posts
Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in graphic design
- Portfolio of past work, with proven skills in conceptual development
- Bachelor's degree or higher in graphic design or a related field
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; in Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Teams; and comfortable working in online project management platforms such as Workfront
- Self-starter with the ability to work methodically and meet tight deadlines
- Strong eye for visual composition
- Solid understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertisement, and multimedia design
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
