Position Summary

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing the social media strategy for Meldon Law, ensuring consistent brand messaging, engaging content, and increased visibility across multiple platforms. This role involves the creation, curation, and distribution of content that enhances the firm's online presence, builds community engagement, and drives traffic to the website and other digital assets. The Social Media Coordinator will collaborate with the marketing team to align content with the firm's overall goals and initiatives.

Essential Functions

Content Creation & Management:

  • Develop, create, and schedule daily social media posts for all relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Produce engaging and on-brand graphics, videos, and written content to drive audience engagement and awareness.
  • Ensure all content adheres to the firm’s voice, style, and legal guidelines, especially in compliance with advertising regulations for law firms.
Community Engagement:
  • Monitor social media channels daily for comments, messages, mentions, and relevant conversations, responding in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster positive relationships with the online community through direct engagement, managing online reviews, and leveraging user-generated content.
  • Assist in the development of social media strategies that align with Meldon Law’s business objectives, marketing goals, and target audience.
  • Implement and adjust social media campaigns based on performance metrics and analytics.
Analytics & Reporting:
  • Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth, traffic referrals) to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Use insights to inform future strategies and content adjustments to increase performance.
  • Work with the marketing team to create campaigns that promote key legal services, events, or community outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external partners, influencers, or media outlets as needed to amplify messaging.
Brand Consistency & Monitoring:
  • Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and branding across all social media platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends, platform changes, and legal advertising guidelines to maintain a compliant and effective presence,

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience managing social media platforms for a brand, company, or organization (experience in a law firm environment is a plus).
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful social media campaigns.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and newer platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, social media advertising, and paid campaign strategies is a plus.
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or other creative software.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to Sit and Work at a Desk:Must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer for long hours.
  • Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Flexibility: May require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate content scheduling, campaigns, or special projects.
  • Travel: Occasional local travel may be required for events, shoots, or meetings.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

The work environment is a standard office setting that includes a moderate level of noise from phones, conversations, and office equipment. Employees are expected to work at a desk or workstation for extended periods, using computers and other office equipment. The environment is designed to promote collaboration and communication while ensuring comfort and accessibility for all employees.
