Summary

Jenner & Block is looking for an experienced communications and public relations professional to join its Communications Department, based in Chicago or New York. The Manager works with key stakeholders to develop and deliver external public relations and internal communications to support the firm’s brand and reputation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with lawyers to identify, develop, and implement communications activities that support the firm’s mission.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists at key media outlets.
• Draft and edit press releases, talking points, firm memos, and other communications materials.
• Help design and implement social media strategy to elevate the firm’s brand.
• Collaborate with and manage external PR consultants.
• Support planning and execution of integrated communications and marketing campaigns.
• Manage special projects and other public relations initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a communications or marketing-related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of communications or equivalent experience, preferably in a law firm.
• Experience in commodities, financial services, or transactions-related fields preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of social media platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
