Responsibilities:

  • Content SEO: keyword research, ideation and proposals for new content, content gap analysis, producing content brief, package and oversee production, current content optimization.
  • Spanish Localization: own SEO localization workstream. Work with agency to ensure quality localization of top-funnel, mid-funnel and bottom-funnel content.
  • Manage content publishing on Gusto.com to ensure go-live for mid and bottom-funnel content.
  • Ensure YouTube videos are being optimized.
  • Manage Google My Business listings.
  • Drive SEO analytics for Content and Technical tracks, including reporting, anomaly detection, forecasting, search data mart, creation and proliferation of case studies across teams.
  • Own innovations/testing for Content workstream.
  • Expand Gusto search share, and assist in the process of tracking and analyzing overall success.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to define, test and launch SEO improvements.
  • Manage and ensure adoption of SEO tools including Ahrefs, Clearscope, BrightEdge, GSC.
  • Champion SEO initiatives within the company by helping educate marketers, engineers, and product managers on the importance of SEO.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of SEO experience at an enterprise company, ideally at a B2B organization and a Fortune 500.
  • Deep understanding of core SEO concepts and practices, with knowledge of how various technologies and web design principles impact SEO.
  • SEO localization experience, specifically with Spanish localization. Spanish proficiency is a must as we’ll need to make updates to content to maintain it up-to-date.
  • YouTube video optimization.
  • Content publishing management experience.
  • Adept at implementing content, technical, outreach SEO tactics with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Search analytics experience in an enterprise-size company.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills, ability to quickly analyze data, propose actionable recommendations and take action on it.
  • Working experience with tools commonly used to track and analyze SEO performance: tracking with SEMRush and Ahrefs, QA with Screaming Frog, content optimization with Clearscope, and Google Search Console.

Nice-to-have:

  • ASO (App Store Optimization) experience.
  • Technical SEO experience in large-scale sites, including Schema, platform, site performance enhancements and SEO QA.
  • Experience driving outreach program with goal to improve site authority and user experience.
  • Experience planning and executing SEO tests including A/B.
  • Proficiency in a programming or scripting language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $127,000 - $155,000 in San Francisco and New York, and $108,000 - $132,000 in Denver and most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role).
