Miller Ford Lincoln is looking for a Mobile Service Writer to join our family-owned automotive dealership that has been serving our neighbors and community for over 100 years. Mobile Service Writer Responsibilities

1. Serve as the immediate supervisor and service writer for the mobile service technicians, and handle additional service writing for the shops Quick Lane.
2. Greet service customers promptly in a professional and courteous manner.
3. Inspect vehicles at check in and refer to service history to accurately identify and verify customer's service needs.
4. Promote the sales of appropriate services parts and accessories by thoroughly understanding the product and associated service requirements.
5. Provide accurate cost and time of completion estimates for the services recommended; communicate and get proper authorization from customers.
6. Check on progress of services to vehicles throughout the day and contact customer to communicate and receive approval regarding any changes in the cost-estimate, promised time of delivery, or recommended services.
7. Administer new and used vehicle warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer warranty guidelines.
8. Confirm service appointments by telephone the day before the customer is scheduled to arrive and conduct post-repair follow up.
9. Inspect vehicles prior to each customer delivery to ensure vehicle services and/or repairs are performed correctly and communicate the results with the customer.
10. Meet requirements of the state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection.

Requirements

1. At least one year experience as a service advisor/writer.
2. Prior experience as an auto technician is preferred, but not required.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
4. Valid driver license.
5. Ability to work well in a process driven environment.
6. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
