Position Title:
Vice President, Finance - North America
Classification: Exempt
Position Status: Full Time
Reports To:
General Manager - North America; dotted line to CFO
Direct Reports:
Senior Director, Finance; North American Finance Team
Role Objectives:
Lead the strategic based financial direction for the North America market (US, Canada, Mexico and any future NA regions) and implement process improvement where there is opportunity to do so. Advise company executives on how to increase profits and reduce financial risks and help drive the North America growth plan as it relates to the financial function.
Also, oversee all finance related activity for North America (US, Canada, Mexico and any future NA markets) in conjunction with global finance team based in Melbourne; this includes day to day functions like A/R, A/P, payroll, compliance, tax, audit, reporting and budgeting. Oversee and optimize the Finance Team structure and workload across the various locations (NA, HK, Vietnam).
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10-20 years of experience in Finance or Accounting with focus on strategic leadership.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are a plus.
- 5+ years in industry or related experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with GM - NA as well as other key functional leaders of the NA business (ex. Sales, Marketing, Analytics) to help shape the NA strategy and to help drive the NA growth plan with a financial lens.
- Drive financial operations and guidelines for Moose NA group entities.
- Identify inefficiencies in NA financial systems and advise on overcoming them to use resources more effectively.
- Act and devise strategies to save company money, drive profitability.
- Set financial goals and a strategy on how to achieve them.
- Advising GM and CEO on financial planning, forecasting, and future revenue expectations.
- Serve as financial lead for any future market entries that happen within the North America sales hub.
- Act as local financial lead in conjunction with US based legal for any business development opportunities - i.e. M&A, licensing, entertainment investments.
- Ensuring data accuracy in all financial reports.
- Review and submit month-end closing adhering to the Global month-end process timeframes.
- Represent the NA market with communication within teams between all applicable Moose offices.
- Collaborate with GM and CFO on financial activities on various regulations.
- Ensure company adheres to tax laws and industry regulations.
- Auditing company expenditures and data accuracy on reports.
- Liaise with and implement global processes as required by Global Finance Team.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Regularly review resourcing requirements for the department and recruits, interviews, selects and trains new staff.
- Oversee the day-to-day workloads and performance of direct reports towards the achievement of agreed objectives, through the provision of clear direction, coaching and support.
- Work with direct reports to set individual KPIs and conduct regular reviews in-line with the Moose Performance Management Program.
- Manage the training and professional development of team members, with an emphasis on providing timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis.
- Champion the Moose culture to ensure direct reports deliver on The Wow.

Work Hours:
8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday
8:30am - 3:00pm, Friday
Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.

Salary Band:
USD $227,000 - $250,000
