Job Description

The Social Media & Content Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand's online presence by creating high-quality, original content-including video-and developing influencer-driven campaigns. This role will focus on both producing engaging multimedia content and managing influencer relationships to drive engagement, foster community growth, and strengthen our connection with customers.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Social Media Content
    1. Refine brand specific social community management guidelines.
    2. Collaborate with Marketing & Design team to define content development needs and develop content calendars for social media to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all social media channels.
    3. Curate and create engaging content for all social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest and emerging platforms.
    4. Own the end-to-end creation of original social content, focusing on high-quality video, photography, and multimedia assets to enhance engagement and brand storytelling. Content creation will include photography, videos, GIFs, graphics, and more using tools such as iPhone, camera, CapCut, Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.
    5. Write compelling caption copy, headlines and scripts to capture the consumer's attention and compel them to take action.
    6. Schedule and publish content across social media channels according to a content calendar, using Sprout Social, and individual social media platforms and ensuring consistency and alignment with brand voice and messaging.
  2. Influencer Relationships & Activations
    1. Develop & execute influencer marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
    2. Identify, vet, and manage influencer partnerships across key social media platforms - either directly (using Tagger) or through external partners.
    3. Plan, brief, and oversee influencer campaigns to generate compelling brand-aligned content, ensuring high-quality influencer and UGC assets support digital marketing efforts.
    4. Coordinate budgets, contracts and terms for influencer/UGC creator/brand collaborations, negotiating cost-effective partnerships.
    5. Maintain influencer relationships and records, including outreach, contracting, gifting/product seeding, and maintaining a UGC content library for digital marketing use.
  3. Social Community Engagement
    1. Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, comments, and messages, and respond promptly with relevant and personalized interactions.
    2. Highlight earned media and organic influencer content across social platforms to strengthen brand positioning and credibility.
    3. Proactively engage followers, fans, like-minded influencers, and brands to cultivate a sense of community around our brands.
    4. Coordinate with external public relations agency and potential partners to strengthen the brands' communities through co-branded collaborations and influencer seeding & partnerships.
  4. Performance Analysis & Optimization
    1. Track and analyze social media impression and engagement metrics against content strategies and tactics to evaluate the effectiveness of content, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
    2. Track influencer campaign performance & ROI, providing insights to optimize future collaborations.
    3. Research and report on social media activity and trends amongst competitors and across beauty, personal fragrance, home fragrance, wellness, and brand categories.
    4. Advise on best practices within digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, community management, and content creation including emerging talent and platforms, content types, and tactics to keep the brands relevant, relatable, and approachable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in retail, beauty, fragrance, décor, fashion, or wellness industries.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and influencer marketing, with expertise in digital strategy and execution.
  • Proficiency in social media management, analytics, and content creation tools, such as Sprout Social, Tagger, CapCut, Adobe Suite, and Canva.
  • Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills with a talent for crafting engaging, authentic content.
  • Proven ability to analyze consumer behavior and apply insights to optimize content and engagement strategies.
  • Experience developing digital strategies that align brand identity with marketing goals to drive engagement, awareness, and advocacy.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions in social media and influencer strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Strong project management skills with clear, proactive communication across internal teams and external partners.
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for storytelling and community building.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.

Work Environment
