Our San Francisco office focuses on innovative mixed-use and multi-family residential projects that enhance the urban fabric and support sustainable living. Our San Francisco office operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office work Monday-Thursday and remote-optional work on Fridays.
About the Role: Our San Francisco office is looking for a smart, energetic, and responsible Designer who is motivated and excited to work on projects from inception through completion. We provide opportunity for those who are highly ambitious, inquisitive, eager to learn and take initiative. We have several designers who joined Handel early in their careers and have quickly made their way to becoming future leaders.
As a Designer, you will work in collaborative, small-to-medium-sized teams, allowing for accelerated learning. You will have opportunities to be involved in various project phases and opportunities for ownership of responsibilities. In addition to conceptual design projects, you will be exposed to construction techniques, building materials, document preparation, and building codes.
Qualifications Bachelor and/or master’s degree in architecture
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within project team
Capacity to interface with and take direction from senior designers
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to take initiative and ownership of any task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong graphic presentation experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Adept at making models and creating presentation material
3-D modeling and rendering experience (Rhino, Sketchup, Enscape, VRay, Grasshopper)
Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills
Salary Range $68,000 - $78,000
