Position Overview:

The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our small, but mighty team-a group of creative, collaborative, and driven professionals dedicated to amplifying the Chamber's work and spotlighting our incredible member organizations.

In this role, you will lead the development of multi-channel, results-driven campaigns to promote key Chamber programs and initiatives. You will also play a critical role in creating and updating marketing and sales collateral that enhances the Chamber's brand presence.

The Marketing Manager will craft compelling content and assets that drive leads, boost registrations, increase website traffic, and engage our stakeholders, members, and sponsors. Additionally, you will optimize our paid social media strategy, ensuring the Chamber reaches and engages a broad audience while delivering maximum value to individuals and organizations in Greater Boston's business community.

Responsibilities: General

Use Google Analytics and Google Data Studio to track and report key metrics for email and social media campaigns on a monthly basis. Conduct ongoing analysis and testing to optimize email and social strategies, iterating based on performance insights. Help the Marketing team keep track of member-mentions in Chamber marketing efforts Serve as the go-to Marketing lead for the Chamber's Policy team Embrace a willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned

Social & Paid Media

Develop and implement best practices for social media across all platforms, collaborating with the Marketing team to ensure consistent application. Attend Chamber events to lead live-tweeting efforts, engage with attendees and speakers, and contribute to the overall event experience. Assist in creating graphics and social copies for speakers, honorees, and members to promote events. Manage and report on social ad campaigns across platforms, working closely with program leads to achieve campaign goals. Partner with the Membership team to drive qualified leads and grow membership through targeted social strategies. Monitor user engagement, conduct A/B testing, and provide data-driven content optimization recommendations. Identify and execute cross-promotion opportunities with members, sponsors, and partners within the Chamber's network. Plan and execute paid social, display, and video ad campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, optimizing for key objectives (e.g., CPA, acquisition). Collaborate with the Marketing team on brand and event marketing campaigns, including Flagship events.

Email Marketing

Work with the Marketing team and other teams to develop engaging content for campaigns that you would lead, and assist with selecting the right contacts Curate newsletters and event emails for designated programs Responsible for monthly Policy email, working with the Policy team to input content Regularly analyze and report out on email efforts for series you lead with a focus on engagement, conversion rates, and list growth Work with membership to assist with growth and retention goals Assist Director of Marketing with maintaining the Chamber's Brand and ensuring all other programs roll up accordingly

Programs & Policy Marketing

Collaborate on marketing efforts for key programs, including Government Affairs, Policy & Advocacy, Economic Outlook, MA Apprentice Network, Pacesetters, and others*.

Work with Programs and other teams to understand their goals and translate them into strong multi-channel digital campaigns that drive attendance and engagement *Subject to change as programming needs evolve

Develop advertising strategies tailored to specific programs, present budget recommendations, and execute campaigns with oversight from the Director of Marketing. Equip staff, Board members, and Chamber networks with tools, language, and outreach tips to maximize campaign effectiveness. Create detailed sponsor reports for event series and programs led by the Marketing team.

Education/Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a marketing role (such as social media management, social content creation, email marketing, and paid media planning) Naturally creative and enthusiastic Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive independently Excellent peer communication and collaboration skills are an essential part of this role Strong organizational skills (including the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously) and exceptional attention to detail Experience with WordPress and Google Analytics preferred Experience with paid media ads (ideally across platforms: Google, LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram) Strong design skills - experience with Canva is preferred Strong writing skills - experience writing social copy is preferred Ability to manage relationships and projects with multiple internal and external constituencies Successful candidate will be a high-output individual with keen attention to detail Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete projects across potentially competing objectives and timelines Strong workplace ethics and values About Us:

Salary:

$65,000 - $77,000

This is a sedentary job by nature but does require travel. Requires being able to sit at a desk and use a computer and phone for most of the day. When traveling, an employee must be mobile enough to get around events and assist with setup and breakdown including lifting 25lbs or more.
