POSITION SUMMARY: Serve as the primary leader in shaping the district's public image, overseeing strategic communications, and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders Responsible for managing district-wide messaging systems, public engagement, media relations, and digital media strategies Lead a communications team to ensure cohesive and effective outreach QUALIFICATIONS

Strategic Communication & Public Relations:
Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies that align with district goals Manage all district-wide public messaging systems, including press releases, official statements, and community updates Serve as the district's primary spokesperson, representing the district at public events, media inquiries, and on the school board Oversee planning and execution of district-wide back-to-school, foundation, and campaign events for students and staff in collaboration with the Coordinator of Community Engagement and the Director of the Education Foundation Digital Media & Content Creation:
Lead the creation of high-quality digital media, including video production, graphic design, and digital presentations for district events and campaigns Serve as the district's webmaster, managing website content, design, and updates to ensure clear, timely, and accessible communication Oversee the consistency and accuracy of visual branding and messaging across all district digital platforms Emergency Communication:
Lead all district emergency mass communication efforts, ensuring accurate and timely information distribution Work in collaboration with district stakeholders to outline protocols for various emergency situations, natural disasters, active shooter incidents, unpredictable weather, and public health emergencies Collaborate with law enforcement and district leadership during crisis situations for effective communication. Media & Community Relations:
Build and maintain positive relationships with local and regional media outlets Oversee advertising strategies and promotional campaigns, including the Gator Bytes e-newsletter Oversee board meeting communication, including board recognitions and public presentations Leadership & Team Management:
Directly supervise the Communication Specialist, Coordinator of Community Engagement, and Department Secretary Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining oversight of key district messaging systems and public relations strategies Provide mentorship and leadership development to the communications team.
