Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Data Manager with a strong attention to detail and a collaborative spirit. This position involves taking on the roles of both Data Manager and Functional Data Steward. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quality of marketing data and supporting data integration and enrichment projects to improve the availability of high-quality marketing data for global marketing initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including customer acquisition, digital marketing, and business/segment marketers to ensure targeted segmentation, audience-sizing, and contact compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Stewardship Ensure stakeholders’ data requirements are met, providing access to quality data. Build the annual roadmap for data cleansing, enrichment, and acquisition to ensure a healthy, compliant database. Gather business requirements and evaluate how to acquire necessary data elements for achieving them. Manage global data standards, processes, and policies for first-party and third-party Marketing data used in marketing operations. Collaborate on the development of data models and Power BI dashboards for global marketing teams. Work across functions to manage data acquisition, enrichment, and integrations. Evaluate and implement new data sources and processes that improve data quality. Monitor, validate, and report data accuracy and completeness. Perform campaign-related database cleanup and ensure compliance with global data privacy standards. Create recurring reports on database growth, health, and CRM/MAT system data. Functional Data Steward Responsibilities
Establish and track enterprise data governance roadmaps and strategic priorities. Identify and escalate data quality issues to the Domain Data Steward as needed. Assist in cleansing, deduplication, and management of mastered data within MDM platforms. Maintain and document business definitions, rules, and technical data dictionaries. Assist in the development of data quality standards, rules, metrics, and dashboards. Help ensure data integrity by running queries and analyzing data when required. Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
6+ years of experience in managing and stewarding marketing, sales, or customer data, including first-party and third-party data integration. Proven experience in data cleansing, enrichment, and deduplication before it is entered into a system or marketing database. Extensive experience working with marketing automation technology and CRM platforms like Pardot, Eloqua, Marketo, or Salesforce. Proficiency in data querying using Access or SQL. Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets. Strong understanding of MDM processes and concepts. Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in an ambiguous environment, learning new systems/tools as needed. Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience & Skills
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Familiarity with ZoomInfo, D&B, Hoovers, LinkedIn Navigator. Experience with lead/contact deduplication tools like RingLead or Validity. Knowledge of working with MDM platforms like Informatica or Profisee. General understanding of data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake. Experience in a global environment with different processes and integrated/disparate systems.
Certifications (if any)
MDM Certification or relevant certifications in Data Management (preferred).
