JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title:
Event Marketing Specialist
Employment Classification : Full Time, Exempt
Reports to:
Marketing Manager
Department : Marketing
Position Summary : This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and promoting all externally facing events, including four major fundraising events.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Coordinates all aspects of externally facing events: Plan and execute marketing strategies for events Manage event project plan, budget and expenses Source event site and vendors Coordinate all vendor, staff, and volunteer logistics Collaborate with Marketing team to create compelling programmatic elements, including speaker preparation. Collaborate with Marketing team to create print and digital content to gain exposure and maximize performance for events. Analyze event performance data, including event websites, sponsor benefits, and donation pages. Lead volunteer auxiliary event committee meetings, maintaining and developing relationships Stay up-to-date with industry trends and offer innovative event ideas Support the Marketing Team as needed with other projects as needed. Requirements
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:
Must be a minimum of 21 years old. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or Hospitality is preferred but not required. 3-5 years relevant experience in event marketing. Demonstrated experience in handling multiple projects and tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and the ability to pivot quickly to meet timely needs. Must thrive on diverse assignments and deadlines. Ability to work as a team player. Ability to manage vendor and volunteer relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and oral communication skills. Comfortable presenting oneself in community settings. Availability to work occasional night and weekend events Experience in the following is helpful but not required: Raiser's Edge (or other CRM), Constant Contact, Canva, social media tools. Pre-employment screenings include criminal background check, FBI/DOJ fingerprinting, TB test, drug screen, and previous employment verification. Possess a valid California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance. Position requires DMV clearance. Essential Qualities:

Enjoys working directly with youth, volunteers, community partners, etc. Demonstrates organizational operating principles of Communication and Teamwork. Displays the organization's essential attitudes by approaching projects, activities, and other job functions with flexibility and a positive attitude. Passion for and enjoys working directly with TAY population. Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
Position may require use of personal vehicle. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, typing, bending, loading and lifting up to approximately 50 lbs. (i.e. tables, chairs, food, water, etc.). Modification to work schedule may be made based on needs of the Foundation.
