Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Manager to join our dynamic and growing firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and executing successful campaigns for clients in various industries. The Manager will work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and develop PR strategies that align with their goals.

As a Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of client work, including media relations, content creation, and event planning. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and support to junior team members.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the media landscape, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to think creatively and strategically. We are looking for a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of delivering results. Managers will produce a variety of work across brand and reputation management, brand positioning, corporate content, thought leadership, media & analyst relations, and landscape research.

Our team is composed of creatives, authors, journalists, designers, and versatile communicators who have constructed the reputations of the most recognizable brands and executives in the world. Salary : $85 - $95k

Job Types : Contract, Full-time

Supervisory Responsibilities : Yes Duties/Responsibilities :

Lead day-to-day work streams for client projects

Responsible for driving execution of communications programs in collaboration with the account team

Support development and implementation strategies for the team to achieve the client's goals

Create memos, pitch decks, thought leadership pieces, and all manner of corporate content, from white papers, speeches and case studies to social media and blog posts.

Oversee associates in day-to-day responsibilities and deadlines, such as agenda creation for weekly client calls.

Drive media relations efforts such as writing press releases, articles and pitching reporters and influencers (local, national and trade) and securing media placements (online, print, TV & radio)

Proactively pitch - come up with a plan to send at least 5-10 quality pitches every week

Grow client recognition through award nominations and speaker submissions

Assist in new business projects for new clients

Serve as a key player in maintaining the Hirsch Leatherwood Network.

Assist in the development of Hirsch Leatherwood's weekly newsletter, Out of Scope, by keeping up with industry news and trends.

Required Skills/Abilities :

Have a full understanding of the media landscape and media relationships

Tactical understanding and use of social media platforms

Self motivated with a positive and professional approach to management

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, PR, Marketing or related field like English, political science, history, or the sciences.

At least 5 years experience in client services, PR, marketing, media, journalism, or related fields.

Experience in client services or the poise to learn such work quickly.

An exacting work ethic that does not neglect the importance of detail.
