About the Position

The Strategic Communications Analyst will provide strategic communications support to the United States Air Force Academy's Center for Character and Leadership Development (CCLD) through the Integration Division Chief. This position will be onsite, based in Colorado Springs. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities

Provide public relations support for the CCLD. Coordinate closely with and channel all media inquiries through the USAFA Public Affairs (PA) and Communications (CM) offices. Provide briefings and updates pertinent to CCLD, as needed. Draft, edit, and submit CCLD communications and publications, coordinate with CCLD senior leaders, and deliver CCLD publications and media to include newspaper and journal entries to USAFA/PA and USAFA/CM as well as other internal organizations. Provide prepared CCLD content to USAFA/CM and/or USAFA/PA for distribution to external media. Post USAFA/PA-approved content to Scholastica. Coordinate requests for public release clearances with both the USAFA Research Office (DFQ) and USAFA/PA. Ensure CCLD's outward facing story, vision, and history are current and accurate in electronic and printed materials. Coordinate changes to CCLD's external web presence with USAFA/CM, on behalf of CCLD, in accordance with Director, Deputy Director, or Division Chief inputs. Provide scheduled event information to USAFA/PA and/or USAFA/CM to allow event coverage for internal or external outreach. Develop, review, edit, and coordinate CCLD content for internal and external audiences (marketing material, videos, brochures, podcasts, scripts for events, programs) that support CCLD initiatives such as the National Character and Leadership Symposium (NCLS). Products will be consistent and in compliance with USAFA brand guidelines. Support CCLD internal and external messaging, to include development and or editing of CCLD products (e.g. CCLD content for USAFA/PA review and release, subject matter brochures, scripts for CCLD-focused videos, etc.). Coordinate and submit requests to USAFA/CM for data regarding social media impacts (i.e., assessment reports. Develop a strategic communications plan for CCLD and, if or as required, for Divisions, projects, and initiatives in coordination with the content owner. Coordinate plan development with USAFA/CM. Capture video and photographic content, as well as product development, and ensure artifact archival. Support other CCLD duties as required (e.g., Outdoor Leadership Complex (OLC), NCLS, CCLD symposia and events, tour support when requested, etc.). Qualifications Active DOD Secret level clearance Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years experience in publishing, strategic communications, basic statistical analysis, project management, public relations, marketing, technical quality editing (copyediting), and a familiarity with academic and military research. Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation. Demonstrated experience supporting communication needs in fast-moving environments, including peace, fragility, and/or stabilization contexts. Highly organized individual who has both attention to detail and ability to influence and manage large projects. Excellent interpersonal skills contributing to a demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple offices/divisions and develop effective working relationships. Excellent written, oral, organizational, facilitation, and presentation skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, newsletter writing and/or website management. Graphic design and multimedia storytelling experience is a plus.

Below is the pay range aligned with this position. When developing a range, Dexis evaluates compensation holistically, triangulating between external market research, our budget for the position, and internal equity to arrive at a figure that is fair and competitive. Offers within this range will be based on an individual candidate's qualification, relevant education and experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.

Dexis pay range for this role:

$84,000-$95,000 USD
