As a contractor assigned to Merck in this full-time position, you will be employed by Minuteman and enjoy a complete set of excellent health and retirement benefits. You will work on a hybrid schedule at the Merck campus in West Point, PA.
Merck's Product Integrity (PI) team, part of its Global Security Group (GSG), oversees the Company's Product Integrity Strategy and Operations in connection with the company's commitment to safeguard its patients and products from risk related to illicit trade, including issues of counterfeiting, diversion, tampering, and product theft. Product Integrity's mission is founded on the Company's core value of "patients first" and its commitment to "provide them with safe and effective products". These core principles instill purpose and inspiration and guide our actions as we seek to provide for the safety and security of our patients through activities that secure our supply chains, investigate, and enforce against illicit activity, and raise appropriate awareness to this public health risk.
Responsibilities:
•Establish and create written, verbal, and visual content for internal and external stakeholders to help them understand goals and priorities of Product Integrity, reflect appropriate messages, cadence, channels, and format (i.e. standardizing presentations, talking points, newsletters, intranet content)
•Tailor content to resonate with diverse stakeholders and ensure development and maintenance of key messaging per stakeholder (groups)
•Conduct activities and projects for stakeholder mapping and engagement
•Execute communication plans to empower team members with information and tools to help them engage stakeholders with consistent messages via appropriate channels
•Using existing templates, write quarterly and annual Product Integrity reports
•Analyze associations and organizations that provide opportunities for awareness and advocacy raising activities of benefit to the Product Integrity organization
•Establish and maintain seamless interface with internal and external stakeholders of interest to build strong cooperative relationships
•Maintain close liaison with regional teams to support communication activities
•Develop communication strategies that help PI team members to navigate through change
•Provide primary tactical support to Product Integrity Advocacy & Awareness Strategic Lead
•Manage the marketing calendar

•At least 5 years of relevant experience within a corporate communications role or similar
•Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
•Proven ability to write effectively and professionally in clear, concise English
•Experience in developing, implementing and executing a corporate communication strategy
•Experience in editing content
•Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
•Digital proficiency and social media savvy
•Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
•Able to work in varying situations (team vs. independency with self-motivation)
•Demonstrated ability to work with wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds and levels
•Exemplary ethics and integrity
•Skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
•Ability to work in highly collaborative and matrixed environment
•Able to identify issues and customize, implement/execute solutions
•Quick thinking, firm decision-making, and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure
•Experience within a highly regulated industry
•BS/BA in public relations, journalism, communications, or relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in web design and content production is a plus
•Understanding of change management principles
•Knowledge of anti-counterfeit/brand protection methodologies
•Ability to speak additional languages (Spanish, French...) is a plus

Pay Transparency Statement
The base salary range for this role is $72,600-$109,500. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
