IT Analyst/Writer - Issue Closure
for a
contract
assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in lower Manhattan,
New York City, NY .
The role will serve as a contractor in the Technology Governance Office (TGO), supporting IT remediation activities for Markets and Enterprise Technology (MET) U.S. related to regulatory finding(s). This resource will work with the Strategy & Funding and Change Management U.S. remediation workstreams, focusing on review and challenge of regulatory committed ISSUE CLOSURE package for completed milestones.
dditionally, this individual will support the development, documentation, and completion of issue closure packages to support the ongoing efforts to satisfy regulatory exam findings. This includes ensuring specific individual strategic milestones, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the TGO team's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities: For the Strategy & Funding and Change Management U.S. IT and Cyber remediation workstreams:
Take ownership to author technology regulatory issue closure packages to ensure successful completion of committed milestones Review and execute credible challenge on issue closure package narratives, artifacts, and related evidence based on industry guidance and regulatory requirements Collaborate with issue / task owners on issue closure package revisions ensure required quality standards are adhered to Coordinate submission of closure packages to Internal Quality Assurance and Internal Audit teams
Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e., FFIEC, NYDFS, FRB), internal policies and procedures. Collaborate with senior technology partners and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication of issue closure package content, requirements, and documentation. ctively monitor progress of issue closure package validation to ensure successful completion against strict committed deadlines. Escalate issue closure package delivery risks, issues, and dependencies to workstream lead and senior / executive management. Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence throughout the issue remediation process to keep artifact repositories updated. Provide advisory level support as a process SME to issue / task owners. Required
Skills :
5+ Years as a Business Analyst or equivalent Strong IT Governance knowledge 5+ years' experience in one or more of the following areas:
Technology (1st Line of Defense - role supporting IT applications, hardware, software, architecture, infrastructure or IT platforms from an internal control perspective) Risk Management (2nd line of Defense - i.e., Operational or Technology Risk) Internal Audit (3rd line of Defense) Internal Controls or IT Risk (1B Roles)
Functional knowledge of regulatory requirements (FFIEC, FRB, NYSDFS) Working knowledge of industry best practices, guidance and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT) Excellent writing, presentation and oral communication skills High degree of analytical and assessment skills bility to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization bility to prioritize and work simultaneously on various tasks, independently and to completion. High attention to detail Preferred
