Position: Senior Communication Administrator (Lead)
Location: Washington DC
Position Type: Remote in DC Metro
Clearance: Secret or above
Specific Job Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of communication systems and network infrastructure. ·
Provide support for VoIP, unified messaging, directory listing services, audio and data conferencing, call center and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) services, video conferencing, webcasting, streaming, and others, ensuring optimal network performance, and providing technical expertise for communication-related issues.
Practical skills, experience, and training designing, configuring, and deploying communications services hardware and software including but not limited to Avaya phone system AT&T Toll-free network, and cable management. And operations and administration of the communication system. Network & Control Administration
Manage communication facilities, including changes to ports, stations, and physical inventory.
Modify network routing tables, traffic patterns, and Class of Restrictions to optimize system performance.
Create, change, or delete Day-of-the-Week or Time-of-Day Routing.
Administer trunk groups, dialing strings, and route patterns and configure bandwidth and channel limitations and transport incoming/outgoing traffic.
Optimize traffic flow and port utilization to maintain system efficiency
Identify and isolate faults in service, systems, terminals, or networks, coordinating with relevant teams for resolution. Station & Device Administration.
Add, modify, and remove hard phones, IP softphones, and extensions.
Administer Class of Service and Class of Restriction for telecommunication systems. Monitoring
Monitor network and system performance, traffic patterns, and alarm systems.
Initiate necessary maintenance, troubleshoot system faults, and obtain accurate CDR information, as necessary.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
15 years of relevant experience in communication administration or a related field
Bachelor’s degree in Info Systems/Relevant Field · Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist prior to onboarding (CTNS)
