The PLL is seeking a public relations and communications analyst to support and execute the League's communications strategy. This role will support league and player level communications, on a national and local level, including crafting official company statements, booking players for media opportunities, drafting press releases and media kits, and leading media monitoring and measurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of brand voice and consistency, as well as an understanding of individual brand and communications best practices, supporting player-level guidance. The candidate will be an ambitious self-starter proactively managing the League's voice, seeking booking opportunities to elevate the league and its players, while also responding quickly to external and internal moments of significance.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's of Arts or Science requirement 1-3 years experience in similar PR or communications role Exceptional written communication skills Great natural sales chops; can pitch the PLL, WLL and its players with passion and conviction Familiarity and existing relationships with media landscape including traditional media, sports media, and non-traditional media platforms Sports and entertainment representation experience is a plus Excellent organization skills Attention to detail Roles and Responsibilities
Support organization and execution of all company press releases and public communications Drive local and national media procurement Secure lead up stories and onsite coverage for all 14 PLL weekends and Championship Series Work with PLL Production team to support press attendance at press conferences and other key moments Book players for media opportunities including but not limited to editorial, podcast, shows Manage relationships with external media; including management of onsite press check-in and experience for PLL Weekends Manage media monitoring and coverage reporting Arrange for photography and comprehensive media presence as needed Compensation:
$65,000-$70,000 annually Based on the candidate's experience The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
