Editor
*Part-time role 20 hours per week.
This part-time editor role will support editing of content generated from the company's internal AI tool. Content generated from the tool will be approximately 70% complete and this editor role will be responsible for editing content to completion but will not be expected to make deep, consultative edits to direction, audience fits, or structure.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the draft abides by company messaging and flag any areas that may need to be checked out by subject matter experts.
- Validates all statistics and claims are accurately cited with links to primary sources.
- Checks drafts to ensure they don’t include any false or misleading claims.
- Ensures drafts do not go into any unnecessary tangents or detail. Conversely, that there are not any gaps that require additional information.
- Ensures that all material are in active voice and that grammar and punctuation are correct.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in copy editing.
- Experience with Google workspace including Google Docs and Drive.
- Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Chicago Manual Style citation.
Compensation: $60-$80 per hour
