Description of Work
The Department of English seeks a committed, enthusiastic, and highly motivated candidate to serve as the Associate Director of the Writing Center/Associate Director of the Writing Fellows Program. This individual will assist with training, supervising, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate Writing Center consultants and receptionists, coordinate Writing Center outreach efforts, and collaborate with the Center for Transformative Teaching. The Associate Director will also play a key role in facilitating the Writing Fellows program, including collaborating with faculty partners and overseeing Writing Fellows.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Master's degree plus 2 years experience in a writing center, including work with students in a variety of disciplines and from a variety of language backgrounds. Interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong administrative skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD preferred. At least one year of experience in a writing center leadership position is strongly preferred. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is strongly preferred. Experience collaborating with faculty in a variety of disciplines desirable. Classroom teaching experience preferred. Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students helpful. Handling administrative tasks related to management of the Writing Center and Writing Fellows Program; mentoring undergraduate and graduate Writing Center employees
