The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role. We're looking for an experienced Director, Marketing Strategy and Analytics to join our Zscaler team. This is a hybrid role local to our San Jose, CA office. Reporting to the VP, Marketing Strategy and Analytics, you will be responsible for supporting our Americas business to provide regional marketing insights and performance across our Field Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Partner Marketing functions. You will be tied into our Product and Sales teams extensively to advance the overall marketing capabilities to drive decisions across GTM to drive the business forward. You will sit at the cross-section of regional Sales, SDRs, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, and IT teams to help enhance our strategies and optimize budgets. Responsibilities: You will own the Data Insights. Analyze data from various sources (e.g. spend data, customer profile, and web/app browsing behavior) to produce stories to inform marketing strategies. Build your point of view and draw insights to back it up. Lead the QBRs with our CMO and other leaders across the company. You are motivated to collaborate with stakeholders and be a trusted advisor, specifically with Field Marketing, Growth Marketing, and SDR leaders. Building relationships is high stakes for this role. Always be thinking about performance analysis. Evaluate the health of marketing campaigns by diagnosing metrics such as lead quality, conversion rates, pipeline generation, and return on investment (ROI). You are organized and focused on collecting/analyzing data from multiple sources to integrate account-level insights, including marketing automation tools, CRM system/SFDC, Snowflake, etc. You love to be artistic and pride yourself on dashboard excellence. Optimize existing dashboards (or create new ones based on business requirements) to track and monitor the performance of marketing campaign strategies and extract actionable insights to ensure revenue growth. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, plus 10-12 years in analytics, data analysis, and/or consulting roles. Affinity for collaboration with business partners and working in a fast-paced environment. You consider yourself an expert in aggregating, organizing, and analyzing big data sets. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with integration work between data warehouse platforms (Snowflake). You have strong familiarity with marketing KPIs and a passion for storytelling across our marketing performance. It comes naturally to you. You understand MarTech and have a fresh perspective on the newer marketing technology platforms and frameworks including Media Performance, Digital Attribution, Web Analytics, e-Commerce Analytics, Salesforce CRM, Marketing Automation tools, CDP, DMP, etc. Hands-on experience with Visualization tools such as SFDC and Tableau with the ability to focus on design and the user experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with several stakeholder teams - Sales leadership, Product Marketing, Global/Regional marketing, IT/Data Strategy, Sales Ops, Finance, Channel. 3-4 years of experience in data science to help drive experimental designs and hypothesis testing. Working knowledge of Python, R, and comparable statistical analysis tools. Experience with either 3rd party or in-house data pipeline tools to automate pulling marketing data from various platforms and APIs.
