Job Description:
This position is responsible for reviewing the group inbox and obtaining authorization for certain requested procedure/treatments. The position performs complex duties requiring problem resolution, judgment and discretion, following established procedures and guidelines.
Pay Range $22.00 per hour - $30.00 per hour
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Reviews inboxes daily and ensures appropriate authorizations are obtained and documented. Prioritizes authorization orders ensuring STAT/Urgent authorizations are processed. Contact patients to inform them of authorization approval/denial. Maintains detailed notes in patients' chart in OncoEMR per note template policy. Ensure all pertinent records and documents are scanned into appropriate computer systems and in proper folders. Maintain a high level of confidentiality for patients in accordance to HIPAA standards. Promotes and contributes positively to inter-departmental issue resolution. Effectively completes other duties and projects as assigned.
